Cántaros

Official music video for "Cántaros", the fourth track on Curiche (2019), with lyrics by Francisca Riquelme and music by Alejandro Orellana. It was shot in the Atacama region, in the province of Copiapó and in Nevado Tres Cruces National Park, and published in April 2019, weeks before the album.

The band explains the place: the Copiapó river is drying up because water rights are concentrated in agriculture and mining, and the video asks for whom and for what water is "reserved". The band itself directed, with the creative idea by Francisca Riquelme, Francisca Castro, Macarena Rozic and Klaus Brantmayer, realisation by Alejandro "Negro" Espinoza and Marcela Toledo, cinematography by Carlos Astudillo, art direction by Francisca Castro and Camila Fuentes, and María Pinchulef as performer and movement director.

It is the Curiche video most tied to territory: the song and the place speak of the same thing.
