Chaltumay

Official music video for "Chaltumay", the sixth track on Curiche (2019), published in November 2018 as the first video of that cycle. It was made at the mouth of the Biobío river, which the band describes as the historic front line between the Mapuche people and the Chilean state.

The text accompanying the video places the piece in 2018, with evictions of communities and killings of Mapuche leaders, and reads it as a question about the annihilation of that culture and of the idea of community it carries. General production is by Tomás Pavez; art direction and production by Macarena Rozic and Francisca Castro; direction and camera by Alejandro "Negro" Espinoza; editing by Matías Cerón, Marcela Toledo and Espinoza, and colour grading by Daniela Toscano.

With "Cántaros" and "Open Your Eyes" it forms the trilogy of Curiche videos.
